Bracelet step by step (15–30 minutes)

1. Measure your wrist and add 2–3 cm of ease; cut the cord with around 10 cm extra for tying the knot.
2. Plan the design on a flat surface before you start threading: arrange the beads in a row (use a compartment tray or a towel so they do not roll away). Symmetry works best: letters or a charm in the center, with a repeating color pattern on both sides.
3. Secure the end of the cord with a clip or tape so the beads do not slide off while you work.
4. Thread the design — when using letter beads, check the direction of the text (start with the last letter if you plan to tie the bracelet immediately).
5. Tie a double surgeon’s knot (wrap the cord twice through the first loop, then tie a second knot), gently stretching the cord — this helps elastic cord hold securely for years. A drop of clear nail polish will reinforce the knot.
